Frequently Asked Questions

What underlying infrastructure do you run on?
Our infrastructure runs on isolated containers powered by high-density bare-metal nodes directly connected to the Hungarian (Budapest BIX) backbone. Because we operate directly on sovereign local hardware without middleman cloud layers, you get native persistent storage speed and never pay bloated AWS or hyperscaler markups.

Where are servers located?
All Exesta compute and storage nodes are physically located in Tier III+ ISO/IEC 27001 certified datacenters in Budapest, Hungary. Direct 10Gbps+ peering at the Budapest Internet Exchange (BIX) guarantees sub-10ms round-trip latency across Central Europe.

How does backup/recovery work?
Automated backups are available via our optional Exesta SafeGuard add-on (+€0.99/month). SafeGuard takes daily atomic snapshots of your container volume, compresses them with Zstandard, encrypts with AES-256-GCM, and replicates to an offsite secondary EU vault with 7-day point-in-time retention and 1-click restore directly inside the Exesta Console.

Can I use custom domains?
Yes. Point a CNAME or A record (such as status.yourdomain.com or git.agency.eu) to your Exesta ingress node. Our edge Caddy reverse proxy automatically provisions and renews Let's Encrypt TLS 1.3 certificates with HTTP/3 QUIC enabled.

Is it GDPR compliant?
Yes. Exesta operates strictly on sovereign European hardware with zero reliance on US hyperscalers, eliminating US CLOUD Act exposure. Every account includes a counter-signed GDPR Article 28 Data Processing Agreement (DPA) in English and Hungarian.
